Bhagavan Narsimha Jayanti

Bhagavan Narsimha - Half man, half lion, the fourth avatar of Sri Vishnu.

Narasimha's primary purpose was to protect his devotee Prahlada and to vanquish the demon king Hiranyakashipu, who had become a tyrant and was causing great suffering on Earth. Hiranyakashipu had a boon that made him nearly invincible, but Narasimha, being neither fully human nor fully animal, was able to bypass these protections.

Bhagavan Narasimha's fierce yet protective nature symbolizes the divine power that intervenes to restore dharma (righteousness) when it is threatened. He reminds us that we cannot outsmart the Lord, and however we approach Him is how He will come to us. He is the perfect balance of power and protection.
